Max decides to move up the date of the wizard competition so he can get it over with. When Alex and Justin both cast spells to stop him, the spells mash together, turning Max into a ten-year-old girl Bailee Madison. In order to get back into the competition too, Justin starts tutoring a class of delinquent wizards, one of which, catches his eye.

Justin falls for his student, Rosie. Justin soon learns that she is an angel, and they start a relationship. Rosie turns good, but Justin tells her that she should be a guardian angel again, and the two part on good terms. After being a female for five episodes, Max is turned back into himself when Alex gets the potion formula from Professor Crumbs. After one of Alex's tricks, Zeke starts believing he, himself is a wizard.

Zeke breaks up with Harper when he realizes that she is hiding something, so Justin tells him about wizardry. Sometime later, Alex gets back into competition after saving the world from a group of dark angels that Rosie used to work for but her relationship with Mason starts to crumble when a beast tamer named Chase Riprock falls for her. While Alex and Justin are both single, Max has his first serious relationship with Talia McKaley Miller , though they face many obstacles including Talia trying to change Max, and her parents not approving of their relationship at first.

Meanwhile, Justin gets back into the competition once his delinquent class have passed their final test and Alex and Harper move into their own apartment on a secret wizard floor after they graduate fron high school as well, but start to regret it when they find out Mason lives there.

After several episodes, Alex and Mason finally get back together. Alex, Justin, and Max battle the dark angel leader, Gorog , one last time and destroy him thus releasing all of the other magical beings from his control. Justin gets back together Juliet after Gorog made her young again. In the final episode, Alex, Justin, and Max do the wizard competition, and despite Justin winning, Alex and Justin both become wizards, and Max inherits the sub shop.

Max is the only Russo child left without powers so Jerry decides to one day pass down the sub shop to him and Max happily accepts. The episode ends with the Russo family hugging and gathering together. Alex notes that they are all finally happy at the same time.

Wizards of Waverly Place was the only show I so so so so so sos os loved. That was the only show Ioved so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much. If you kept the show going I would be the happiest girl in the whole entire world!!!!! After all, he was the one who studied the most and worked his entire life to be a wizard.

Alex barely lifted a finger. Thankfully, Professor Crumbs wanted to retire after thousands of years of practice and decided to pass his position on to Justin, making him a wizard as well.

And for those of you who were concerned about Max Jake T. Austin , he lucked out too. His parents left him the restaurant. Over all, I was content with the Wizards ending.
