Anybody tell me why

Well, have you seen Wild Wild West? I, dear viewer, almost threw myself off my floating butler. Steampunk is one of those where it can be hard to separate the genre from the aesthetic. Like Cosmic Horror. So, in answer to the question. Going through a metamorphosis. Whether from Caterpillar to zoom-call moth is unsure. Steampunk games continue to evolve as technology gets better just like in Victorian times with all its industrial break throughs.

There fore as history shows the games get more enjoyable and evolved this just goes on and on improving in the user experience though off course classics are classics and stand the test of time.

There are so many Steampunk games out there because it is a perfect platform for the genre easily exploring locations, characters, weapons and stories some inspired by old and some new.

The ever growing popularity of the games in this genre is testament to Steampunk being very much alive and works as two fingers on the pulse of the movement and a great sign of life. Some examples to prove my point:.

Its rich artwork is perfect for anyone looking for that Sunless aesthetic. Lamp-lit, eerie, with that gossamer fog that trails like a cloak. Frost Punk is sadness in the snow. Snowpiercer comes from the graphic novel Snow Le Transperceneige. Truth is, for me, Diesel Punk is the more realistic, but robots seem to employ the Rule Of Cool which is definitely giving me Steampunk vibes.

Here we have a few examples of current Steampunk literature. The fact that people are still putting out work is a testament that humanity is built of some strong and flexible stuff. To have such an array of Steampunk to choose from is the icing on the cake.

A genre often linked to the dumb and the irreverent. To sit down during this pandemic and create something that a lot of people assume is dead and buried is one of the reasons why I love people.

That being said, their existence alone is enough to show that interest in the genre is still up and running despite its pique and the recent viral slowdown. Outside of this, a quick google search of Steampunk will reveal some interesting facts. First of all, most of what I found was stuff from years ago proving that once again Search Engines are more about marketing than education. That being said, I did find a few good examples.

A try before you buy. What do you have to lose? A Master of Djinn is his book. An intriguing title regardless. Like with everything else, Covid has put a stop to time travelling and domestic Steampunk for quite some time. In response, the utilisation of call tech has allowed introverts everywhere the opportunity to speak to one another. Nor is it remotely proto to sit down and exchange texts all day. The classics of Reddit are still used to express everything from clipart to phone case design.

People have taken advantage of the social media hangout to share their love for one another while cursing the eldritch gods of poor wifi. Literature, like other genres, is a lot like rivers down a mountain. As you go down you realise that there are many ways to get into the ocean. Overtime, you see confluence as rivers merge and grow faster.

I would be surprised to see stories reflecting themes of isolation and confinement. Think Edgar Alan Poe but with a Steam-powered watch under the floorboards.

Steampunk works as a line for fashion, art, literature, and gaming. Reddit is Modern Rome, with all manner of threats and civil discord thrown in. Facebook is much of the old timer in the way of modern media. The game often asks for large chunks of resources at one time though e. Keeping no stockpile and producing resources only when needed "Just In Time" can create significant delays all over the place. Personally I always prefer to stockpile. Solanix said:. Gargon all those Ancient Wonders you mentioned are also helping with the steadily flow of incoming Divine Seeds because the collectioin bonus of the Trader is depending on Main Hall level and Ancient Wonders Level.

This gives me time to stockpile the goods needed for the finalisation of the research. Without a decay reduction, I would get the KP bar filled before I would have all the sentient goods together. Those seeds are precious to me. Same in my brain, the main use of seeds is for sentient goods production, which means you need a constant stream of seeds and have absolutely no benefit from a stockpile.

If you have a stockpile, you simply have too many seeds, that will never get used and end up decaying. If you have a ST the stockpile will decay later, but unless you have a big pile of seed cost coming up, that has absolutely no benefit to you at all?

Not having a ST will not reduce your sentient production. Pauly7 Magus. Can I just add though Sunset Towers looks really cool.

I've deleted it now since the new tournament calculations came in, but if it wasn't going to be hurting my scores then I would have let it stay in its place just because I like it a lot.

Pauly7 said:. I forgot, too long ago now. On the other hand - it's lucky that Maze of the Dark Matter is the ugliest monstrosity that Inno ever conceived of, so I've never been tempted to build it on any level, either before or after the tournament change.

Research in the new chapter Team Spirit requires k seeds according to Elven Architect. Later upgrades for a number of buildings including T1 manufactories, T2 manufactories and armories each require a few tens of thousands of seeds. Fully levelling up just one of the later chapters AWs costs about 4 million seeds!

Additionally in C17 and C18 there is a conflict between Unurium and Divine Seeds production in the trader, which depending on individual strategy may also greatly reduce seed production for a period. More generally Inno has a habit of finding new uses for resources as one progresses through the game. My city is intended to be flexible and to be able to do well in all aspects of the game.

If you don't like the crafting options, wait for something you do like, everything available is useful to someone at some point in the game.

I do believe he was referring to the mystical object prize as being the mana sawmill I do like the idea of changing the sawmill to the mana hut as prize in the mystical object.

SkyRider99 Enchanter. Gargon Mentor. SkyRider99 said:. I agree. The game demands tons of unurium but only gives one place to make a little. And even then you need to switch backwards and forwards to produce a few divine seeds in the Advanced Trader. We need a Unurium Manufactory Paladestar Enchanter. Or if you wanna spend diamonds - Team Spirit Monument - Takes up 4x3, produces Unurium per day and they cost 2, diamonds each!

Both give trivial amounts compared to your trader though. Looks like it's going to be the same with ch Good info Paladestar. Even though those buildings produce only small amounts, they are an option for the future.
